May 10th 2013: launching "Open Your Tomorrow" program



Friday May 10th 2013- Monroe hotel; the Minister of telecommunications (MOU) - Mr. Nicolas Sahnawi- in collaboration with the minister of education -Mr. Hassan Diab- launched the first phase of “Open Your Tomorrow” project. During ceremony, educational Tablets were distributed to students from different age categories.
 
this program marks the beginning of a new digital area in Lebanon's education, in collaboration between the Ministers of Telecommunications and Education, Triple C, Intel, BDL, Blom Bank, the two operators Alfa and Touch as well as Lebanon post.
The first phase is to provide young students with purpose-built Tablets equipped with 3G technology, educational content and robust security , at heavily subsidized cost.




in his delivered speech, the CEO of Triple C Mr. Bernard Rizk said "launching this program today will be  a remarkable improvement in our children's tomorrow". He complements, that this project did not become a reality today without the contribution and efforts of the stakeholders.

October 19th 2012: Winner announcement and MOU signing

During an event in Beirut Digital District, with the presence of Minister of Education and Higher education Dr. Hassan Diab and Mr. John Davies Vice President for Intel Corporation - Intel World Ahead program, Mr. Nicolas Sehnaoui Minister of Telecommunication in Lebanon announced the award of the Open Your Tomorrow project to Triple C the solution provider for Intel Tablets. May 15th 2012: National Tablet Initiative for the Youth

The Ministry of Telecommunications (MOT) Launched an innovative initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) to provide Lebanese students, tablets with 3G connectivity at a subsidized cost. These tablets will have access to secure educational portals and applications.

A tender was launched in May 2012 by both operators Alfa and Touch to procure the solution.




Triple C participation

Triple C decided to align its long expertise in the IT Systems Integration in general and the education sector in specific by submitting a bid for a turnkey solution consisting of a Tablet based on Intel Chipset with valuable educational content and Air-Watch Remote Management Platform for tight management and security.

MOT and Intel signed an MOU to boost Technology and education in Lebanon
Beirut, Lebanon, 19th October 2012: In the presence of the Lebanese Minister of Education, Intel signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Telecommunications in Lebanon to support the two mobile operators Alfa and touch in their attempt to supply Lebanese students with purpose-built 3G tablets kitted with academic content and robust security at affordable prices. The tablets will come with two years broadband connectivity that allow parental supervision and offer users web-filtering and Internet security.

The project is a holistic educational solution targeting all Lebanese students from 6 to 18 years this initiative is innovative and the first solution based on Intel Chipset Tablet Worldwide.

The Solution elements

  • 15,000 Intel tablets specially designed for students ages 6-18 to be used outside the schools
  • Preloaded with high quality educational and entertainment content for free like Intel Learning Series software and Britannica Encyclopedia
  • Fully secured access to the Internet with a 3G data package connectivity
  • Tablets are secured and managed with Remote Management Platform – Air-Watch
  • Tablets will be provided through the two operators Alfa and Touch at a subsidized fee
  • 1,500 tablets to be given for free to public schools students in grade 10 as part of their pilot for integrating technology in the classroom
